Overview of Nebula AWS Usage Reporting
The AWS Reporting module in Nebula provides centralized access to cloud consumption, billing, and usage insights across AWS environments. The reporting framework is designed to help organizations monitor cloud spending, analyze resource utilization, and gain visibility into account-level and organization-wide activity through a set of downloadable reports.
Users can generate reports for specific billing periods and obtain both high-level summaries and detailed usage data. The available reports cater to different stakeholder requirements, ranging from executive and financial reporting to operational analysis and cloud optimization initiatives.
Nebula pulls the AWS Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) from AWS and calculates Organization-level pricing that includes additional Enterprise Support pricing and discounts and makes its reports available by the fifth day of the following calendar month. For example, the reporting for June 2026 is available by July 5, 2026.
Available AWS Reports
- AWS Monthly Summary Report – This report includes AWS usage data for all Organizations of a given Provisioning Entity for a given Calendar Month and is designed for wholesale and retail billing purposes. For each Organization, the report includes the aggregated usage, OnDemand Costs, discounts, taxes and costs after discounts for each AWS Product SKU under each of the Organization’s AWS Accounts during the month.
- AWS Detailed Azure Usage Report – This report is available for a given Organization for a given Calendar Month. It provides a more granular report that identifies the specific quantity and usage contributed by each Product SKU on a daily basis, including the effective Costs of that usage and all break-ups of the costs. The report format is identical to the AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR 2.0).
- AWS Organization Summary Report – This report is similar to the AWS Monthly Summary Report and provides users with an aggregated ‘‘per Organization’’ summary showing all the usage and costs for all the Accounts in the Organization for a month.
- AWS Account Summary Report – This report provides users with a ‘per AWS Account’ summary showing all the usage and costs for a particular calendar month for that Account.
